She holds an M.D. degree from the Institute Technological of Santo Domingo (INTEC) Faculty of Health Sciences in the Dominican Republic. Dr. Bello completed her residency training at Cleveland Clinic’s Akron General
Medical Center in Ohio, specializing in Internal Medicine. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Aesthetic Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of physicians and a Mentor for the Obesity Medicine Association.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bello has been an active member of numerous professional organizations. These include the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE), American College of Physicians (ACP), American Medical Association (AMA), Dominican Medical Association Inc. of New York (DMA), Dominican College of Physicians (CMD), Obesity Medicine Association and Diabetes Research Institute (DRI)). She has the position of President of the Dominican Health Care Association of Florida (DOHCAF), where she works to advance the healthcare efforts of professionals who support the Dominican community.
Dr. Bello has a strong background in research, having worked as a co-investigator at Akron General Medical Center, studying the relationship between sleeve gastrectomy for obesity and gastroesophageal reflux disease. She has also served as a research technician at New York University, focusing on pancreatic inflammation, carcinogenics, liver disease, and basic cellular immunology.
Throughout her career, Dr. Bello has gained valuable clinical experience. She has worked at esteemed medical institutions such as UF Health Shands in Jacksonville, Florida, Union Hospital in Dover, Ohio, Broward Health Imperial Point in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
